Hope

Let’s hope…

I’ve heard this so many times, in so many companies, from so many leaders.

Let’s hope the release goes well.

Let’s hope there are no bugs.

Let’s hope this change solves the massive problems in the field, so that the customers stop screaming at us.

As with many things, hoping and praying isn’t the product development strategy or process I subscribe to.

I’d much rather spend my energy building effective processes, using modern patterns and practices, so that we know the release will be successful, there won’t be bugs, and the customers will be satisfied.

If you want to exchange a culture of hoping things will work for a culture of knowing exactly what works and where there are issues to solve, I’m here to help guide you on that journey. You won’t regret making the change.
